SOCIAL RISE INTERNSHIP POSITION: FALL 2015
Social Rise is seeking strategy interns to assist with marketing, outreach, and development operations. The interns will join an organization in a growth stage with vast opportunities to innovate and create impact at all levels.

As an ideal candidate, you are an entrepreneurial individual who is passionate about leveraging your marketing skills to engage stakeholders, community partners and our public towards the mission of social media empowerment. You are hungry to learn, able to craft new ideas and work in a self-directed environment. This is an ideal position for an undergraduate student looking to contribute ideas and get real-world experience in a fast-paced and flexible environment.
Responsibilities May include:
Developing a marketing strategy to engage and grow support base
Engaging with social media community and leveraging platforms to build relationships
Management and control of website including content updates, design, and plug-in integration
Expanding awareness and assisting coordination of blogging programs
Identifying and exploring potential partnerships with other organizations
Continuous reports on Analytics, metrics and relevant data
Brainstorming and assisting fundraising and sustainable development efforts
Regular check-ins and working meetings with team and supervisor
Qualifications May include:
Interest or Track of Study in Marketing/PR/Communications
Interest in poverty, social impact, human rights, and economic empowerment
Social Media experience using Twitter/Linkedin and other profiles
Ability to commit to 5+ hours a week from a virtual environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed
There are a variety of benefits including a flexible and largely remote schedule, experience applying marketing and social media tools at a rapid pace, blogging opportunities, and a chance to build valuable relationships. We are also happy to provide validation for any credit requirements that this may meet with your program of study. While this is an unpaid internship, you will be reimbursed for any travel and/or work-related expenses.
